The Uttarakhand Open Schooling & Skill Education Council (UOSSEC) is an open schooling body established to meet the diverse academic needs of learners up to the pre-degree level, including Secondary, Senior Secondary, and Skill/Vocational Education. UOSSEC was constituted under the provisions of the Uttarakhand State Act, with the objective of promoting and disseminating open schooling education at both the state and national levels.
By integrating skill education with open schooling, UOSSEC ensures that learning is not only inclusive and flexible but also relevant to the evolving needs of society and industry. Its mission is to provide accessible, equitable, and quality education to learners from all walks of life, empowering them with both academic knowledge and employable skills.
